Trip@Bali 2010






First time @ Bali : I was bit excite to go there because i have done lots of searching to travel there. Bali has a nice culture, Balinese was nice,kindly and friendly like Thai people...:-)However i prefer Thailand.We were at Bali for 4 nights before fly to Bangkok...We went around there.If you would like to travel there,i think only 1 week is enough for look around all.Frist place we decided to see @ Bali is Bali Reptile Park located at stone carving village (Batubulan village).

First opened in October 1995, the Park is the realization of a life-long dream and ambition. With more than 1.000 birds of over 250 different species housed within lush tropical gardensWe finished from brids park almost mid-day then we went to Elephant Cave (Goa Gajah), this cave built in 11 century by the king of Udayana. The name is came from the name of the small river nearby, it's name Lua Gajah (Female Elephant). In front of the cave built place for bathing with six figures (Sapta Gangga). Inside of temple there is places for meditation, west side is the statue of Sri Ganesh (the god of protector), east side is three Lingam, belived one with black cloth is for Wisnu Gods symbol of water, white cloth is for Siwa Gods symbol of the air and red cloth is Brahma Gods symbol of fire.
Then we went to have lunch at Batur Mount Volcano, this places located in Kintamani District - Bangli Regency. Penelokan Village will be the best to view of the Batur Mount and Batur Lake. Batur Mount has eruption several time already, the biggest eruption was 1926 destroyed the Batur Village, this village it was near the lake and now they move to the top. The black lava was the eruption in 1974. This is still active Volcano smoking all the time. There are many restaurant built surround the crater specially for lunch time but food is not good,may be they sell for place and view it is not food ;-)

The 4th place we went to see ,it is Bali Coffee Agrotourism, Bali Coffee Processing and farming, Bali Coffee Luwak (Chivet Cat Coffee), the place to see various of plantation such as coffee arabica, coffee robusta, pineapple, Balinese snake fruite (salak), plain Balinese potatoes, star fruit, cacao, jack fruit, durian tree and etc, experience to see how to make Balinese .i had tried some coffee that they said the best coffee already….I don’t like it..better for me is normal coffee J we bought coffee, ginger tea and coco

The last place for today is the rice terrcaces at Tegallalang Village, this rice terraces has beautifull view with coconut trees and beautifull small river valley. Tegallalang Village well known with the village of handicrafts centre specially for wholesale and export, a long of the road you will see a lot of the shops, they sell variety of painted woodcarving with colorfull designed. The painted woodcarving products sell made from very light wood with reasonable price, they do sell theirs handicrafts for retail too.

Barong and Keris Dance at Batubulan Village, the performance start at 9.30 am and finish at 10.30 am. The Barong play represent an enternal fight between good and evil spirit. A Barong (a mythological animal) represent good spirit and Rangda(a mythological monster) represent evil one. Balinese people also belived that the Barong is symbol of protector. Many kinds face of Barong, mostly is Barong cat, Barong Landung, Barong Macan (tiger face) Barong celeng (pig face).

Taman Ayun Temple in Mengwi, huge state temple of Mengwi Kingdom surrounded by a wide moat, the temple built in 1634. Outside yard with open grassy expanse and meeting hall for held the meeting, dance performance and sometime cockfighting. Midle yard built high wood bell (Kulkul), oustide yard to midle yard separate by open gate and from midle yard to inner courtyard separate by close gate. Inner courtyard has a lot of multitiered shrines (Meru), from first till the highest one. The visitor allowing to see the inner courtyard from outside only.
Temple in the lake (Bratan Lake), the temple well known with Ulundanu Temple Ulun it's mean heart and danu it's mean lake, the temple dedicated to the Gods of lake or waters (Danu Goddes), the lake supply a lot of water to the rice field. The temple founded in 17th century by the King of Mengwi. In outside yard there is buddhist temple and big Banyan tree. This temple of the important temple in the mountain used for Nyegara Gunung ceremony, nyegara (ocean) and Gunung (mountain). The visitor can rent speed boat to around the lake.


After that : Sleeping, shopping and easting :-) It make me more fat 2 KG.
